Our client, a major gold producer in West Africa, was employing a contractor to mine and manage its open‑pit operations. To remove the ‘contractor margin’ and obtain improved control of its operations, the client decided to transition to an owner‑operator model.

Partners in Performance was initially engaged to conduct a diagnostic to evaluate the existing transition plans, identifying any gaps or weaknesses, and assess the client’s operational readiness.
